Speedater absorbs two kilos of hot sauce in seconds: world record

He demonstrated “bubble” speed.

A culinary daredevil has set a new Guinness World Record after eating over two kilos of hot sauce in just three minutes – and he’s going viral for his feat of intestinal fortitude.

“A lot of people say, ‘Your butt must be burning big after doing that challenge,'” supersonic geek Mike Jack told Guinness.

The gritty Canadian has become known for breaking multiple speed-eating records, most notably grabbing gold for the fastest time to drink a Capri Sun with a paper straw – something he achieved in 21.71 seconds.

For his latest sweat-inducing stunt, the serial mess decided to eclipse the former high-water mark for most hot sauce eaten in three minutes.

Jack prepared for the challenge by pouring two bottles of Sriracha into a bowl, before hiding a container.

“Let’s do this,” declares the plucky Canuck, before cooking up the crimson spice at a breakneck pace as his wife/coach Jamie cheers him on.

By the end of the three minutes, Jack had consumed two pounds and seven ounces of fiery gloop.

In doing so, he more than tripled the previous world record of 300 grams.

“That’s more than I thought I’d do,” the stuntman confessed. “I’m happy to have beaten this record, because it was bad. That was tough on the body, for sure.”

Jack explained in the video that he was able to make the hot sauce go down easier by imagining it was pumpkin pie – his favorite food.

One might think that inhaling that amount of hot sauce would wreak gastrointestinal havoc, but Jack insisted that he’s never suffered from a burning saddle.

“I’ve never actually experienced butt burning before. It’s my superpower, I guess,” mused the extreme eater.

The fire eater was smart to reach for Sriracha and not a sauce infused with PepperX, which is the hottest chili in the world.

In fact, Jack likely steels himself through the many capsaicin-rich food challenges he regularly performs and uploads to his YouTube channel, Mike Jack Eats Heat!.

In a video posted today, this veritable “Jackass” of gastronomy can be seen housing 40 Carolina harvest peppers – the second hottest on earth, behind the aforementioned PepperX.
